Trust is a foundation of successful human relationships. We may find it hard to describe, but we sense when it is present…and when it is not. Trust will influence and shape the course of our professional lives, from securing a job opportunity, succeeding in our work goals, making our work fulfilling and smoothing the way to achieving our career ambitions. Given that trust underpins so much, join us as we dip a toe into this big and important topic to explore what trust really means, why it matters, how can we build trust in our work relationships and, most importantly, how we can sustain it.

Session 2: 12:00 – 14:00 In the Digital World – who can you trust? with Annette Harpham

Building trust with stakeholders is essential for an organisation’s success. With digital communications now a vital ingredient of most marketing programmes, this session explores how organisations can use digital techniques to foster relationships of trust with their customers at key touchpoints. We will consider why social media has such an impact on trust; and learn how Google assesses whether your website is trustworthy.

Session 3: 14:30 – 16:30 An Introduction to Project Management with Simon Coverdale

This session will cover: How a project differs from business as usual; the key project roles; the core lifecycle of project management and the decision points that govern it; the content of the project plan; some key supporting leadership skills and the importance of an agreed project management methodology and trained staff in driving an organisation to project success.
