Colour and contrast 

Some links rely on colour alone to distinguish them from the body text (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.1). 

The colour scheme on the website does not provide sufficient contrast for some text against the background (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3). 

Page and content structure  

Some text is displayed visually as a heading but is not marked up as such for assistive technology (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1). 

Keyboard navigation  

Some links are not keyboard focusable (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.1.1).  

Automatically moving, blinking, or scrolling content 

Some pages contain animated images that cannot be paused, stopped, or hidden. (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.2.2). 

Skip links 

Pages lack skip links to bypass repetitive content (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.1). 

Interactive components 

Some interactive controls are missing an accessible name (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2).

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

  • Live audio and video. If a live video is kept on the site for more than 14 days, then it is considered a pre-recorded video and may no longer be exempt. 
  • PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 – unless users need them to use a service, for example a form that lets you apply for a course.
