This course provides you with many stimulating opportunities. The nature of the tourism, hospitality and events industries is reflected in the style of teaching and learning. Key lectures are heavily supported by regular trips, visits and guest lectures from industry experts. Previous students have had the opportunity to attend an annual 3-day visit to London, where they considered the current trends and challenges in our capital city. In the past this trip has included visits to some of the most prestigious hotels in London, as well as touring Canary Wharf, the Bank of England, the Houses of Parliament and the Olympic Village. Annual overseas visits have also been organised, which have previously seen students travel to destinations such as Berlin, Cannes, Monaco, Naples, Paris, Reims, Rome and Venice
The full-time and part-time course has one start point in September.
The full time fees for the academic year 2020-21 are:
BA and BSc (Hons) – £8400 (per year)
Foundation Degree (FdA and FdSc) – £8400 (per year)
Higher National Certificate (HNC)- £8400 (per year)
Tuition fees for part-time courses commencing September 2020 are £1400 per 20 credits.
The curriculum was engaging, and the level of teaching and support were reassuring when I felt nervous about returning to education. Embarking on several trips, both local and overseas, helped to broaden our event vision within the tourism and hospitality industry. Each trip was meticulously organised and offered not only great monetary value, but also an insight for future career pathways. I now research, plan, manage and host events for Team Army!
